In the light of Europe Day on the 9th of May, the European Parliament Liaison Office in Belgium organised an event on the theme “Ukraine & Russia: how didn’t we see it coming?” on the 10th of May 2022 at the Maison de la Poste on the Tour et Taxis site.
During the evening, participants had the opportunity to taste Ukrainian delicacies, after which they attended the screening of the film “Donbass” (2018) in the presence of its director Sergei Loznitsa.
After the film, Gerolf Falter, Head of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Belgium, interviewed Sergei Loznitsa about his work as well as his vision of current news. Finally, the participants had the opportunity to interact with the director during a question & answer session.
